Agents Workplace
Privacy Policy · Last updated October 16, 2026
Agents Workplace is a personal desktop application for macOS. It runs entirely on the user's own computer and lets the user's own AI coding assistants (Claude Code and Codex CLI, used under the user's own subscriptions) answer the user's questions about their mail and calendar. There is no Agents Workplace server, account or cloud service.
Data we access
- Gmail — read-only (
gmail.readonly): search messages and read messages and threads. - Google Calendar — read-only (
calendar.readonly): list calendars and events. - Basic profile — the account's email address, to label the connected account.
The app cannot send, modify or delete mail, events or any other data. It asks only for read-only scopes and refuses a connection if broader access is granted.
How data is used
Data is fetched only when an AI assistant started by the user, in a project where the user connected the account, asks for it while answering the user. Requests go directly from the user's computer to Google. The retrieved content is passed to that AI assistant, which sends it to its provider (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for Codex) under the user's own subscription and that provider's terms, to produce the answer shown to the user.
Google user data is used only to provide these user-facing features. It is not sold, not used for advertising, not shared with anyone else, and not used by Agents Workplace to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models.
Storage and security
- OAuth tokens are stored in the macOS Keychain on the user's computer.
- Mail and calendar content is not stored by the app beyond the local logs of the user's own agent runs on the same computer.
- AI assistants get a short-lived local token that only works during one answer and only for the accounts the user selected.
Removing access
Disconnect an account in the app (Settings → Personal accounts): its token is deleted from the Keychain. Access can also be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Agents Workplace's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
